AABB Level 4 (out of 10)
MEET Bruno the Saint Bernard weighing 175 lbs. He was kicked out of daycare 2 years ago and has not been able to socialize with other dogs since. He's uncontrollable on leash and pulls significantly. He is dog aggressive so his size makes him formidable. He wears with a choke-style collar to control his leash aggression but it doesn't help much.
This is the first time in over 2 years that Bruno has met other dogs. He's meeting 3 Great Danes where all four dogs have a combined weight of 655 lbs. (Nero - 140 lbs, Walter - 180 lbs, - Lincoln 160 lbs). It is very important to be ready to step in at any time.

Bruno is an adorable young dog who has learned his size can get him places...but not in a good way. Being so big at 175 lbs, he's also been a target by smaller dogs. This has made him cautious so he will react first because he worries other dogs will attack and hurt him.
The second half of our two-hour session is spent walking the neighborhood that has dogs in the area. His owners each weigh less that Bruno so they were very happy to be able to walk Bruno and see and feel an immediate difference with his leash manners.
The success from this session was continued by Bruno's parents continuing the work and training on their own after their session. Great progress and with consistent work with the simple tools I taught them, the next day on their own, they're walking Bruno with just a regular collar, no more pulling and minimal reaction to other dogs...that's a big change for Bruno from a lifetime of fear.

Dogs suffer the same. It's important to efficiently and accurately ascertain the dog's dysfunction(s) at the very root.
As progress during one session is measurable...owners must be aware changing their dog's entire lifetime of unwanted behaviour doesn't become permanent unless they repeat their dog's training on their own. Be vigilant and consistent with the training tools.
Viscerally Intuitive Dog ('VID') Training. Simple. Intuitive. Works with every dog. Most importantly, is coaching owners not just the 'how', but the 'why'.
VID coaches owners' and trainers' existing skills and inution how to recognize and read a dog's behaviour in real time.
